VicRoads require 15 working days for a permit to be issued from the date they receive the application. Application includes Memorandum of Authorisation (MOA) and Traffic Management Plan (TMP).
For major arterial road closures with a major impact on the aerial road, Permits are issued 30 days from the date they receive the application. Applications include MOA, TMP, Detour Plans, After-Care Plans, VMS plans and Traffic Impact Assessment (TIA). VicRoads require 6 weeks of lead time in planning of these major shut down works.
